Her work has been published online or in print by Ploughshares, Pank, The Brooklyn Review, and the Christian Science Monitor, among others.

Marcella teaches creative writing online for Southern New Hampshire University and lives on a farm in Minnesota. She is working on a a memoir about surviving stroke at age 22 and a collection of poems that explore social (in)justice in Colombia.
